Administration Deal (Publishing)

Description

Administration deals are usually only available to established writers who have an attractive catalogue that is already generating income. In an administration deal, the publisher will provide:

• the administration necessary to register the song(s);
• grant licenses;
• collect, account for and distribute the income.

In an administration deal, the publisher does not acquire ownership of the copyrights. It is granted an exclusive license for the territory, authorizing it to be the only party to administer, exploit and collect on the writer’s behalf.
